Can LVP be installed over existing sheet vinyl or tile?
In many cases, yes — provided the existing vinyl is firmly glued down and flat, or the tile grout lines are skim-coated flat. If existing flooring is loose or uneven, tear-out is recommended.
Why do property managers prefer glue-down LVP over click-lock?
Glue-down LVP cannot separate at the locking joints under heavy wheel traffic or moving furniture, and individual damaged planks can be swapped out in minutes without pulling baseboards or disassembling the room.
